TABS buildings - an acoustic challenge
Sustainable building practices are becoming more common and the number of building projects involving Thermally Activated Building System (TABS) is growing rapidly. However from an office-worker's perspective, exposed concrete walls and ceilings create acoustic environments where it's virtually impossible to communicate and concentrate.
Opportunity for design and functionality
Our tests now show that a combination of free-hanging units, wall panels and screens presents an optimal solution, both thermally and acoustically. So don't feel restricted when designing the interior of a TABS building, you can still create an inspiring atmosphere that enhances wellbeing and performance.
