Going for zero

Our commitment: net zero emissions by 2050. Good thing we’re already well on our way.

Answering the call

In the wake of the Climate Action Summit convened by the General Secretary of the United Nations in September 2019, the Saint-Gobain Group has signed the pledge of the Global Compact “Business ambition for 1.5°C”. That means we’ve committed to reaching net-zero emissions by no later than 2050 – because that’s what the world needs from us to limit the worst impacts of climate change.

Making today count

Ambitious goals need ambitious starts. We are already committed to reducing our Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 33% between 2017 and 2030. Scope 3 emissions should be reduced by 16% over the same timeframe in the most emission-intensive categories. Many of the current investments and R&D projects within Ecophon and the Saint-Gobain Group are focused on low-carbon solutions.

Joining the movement

Together with the Saint-Gobain Group, we are proud to be named to the CDP’s annual A List of the world's most pioneering companies in environmental transparency and performance. We are convinced that reducing emissions needs to be a collective global effort, and we rely on the support of the scientific community to verify and validate our environmental objectives through the Science-based Targets initiative.
