Woodside School was a retrofit project that transformed a former healthcare facility into a welcoming and functional school for neurodivergent children and young adults. A key priority was to reuse spaces and recycle materials wherever possible to create a simple yet rich environment that would be valued by pupils, staff, and carers alike.

In the main learning spaces, improving speech intelligibility and controlling reverberation were essential to supporting student engagement and learning, in line with BB93 acoustic guidance. To achieve this, alma-nac ltd selected Ecophon Master™ B, a direct fix system to maximise head height.

The solution offered ease of installation, strong sustainability credentials, and a visually discreet, hard-wearing finish suited to a robust school setting.
