A new chapter for the Copernican Library

The Copernican Library in Toruń – one of northern Poland’s most significant cultural institutions, known for its extensive collections and long academic tradition – has opened a new wing: Universum Książki. This contemporary extension brings together reading rooms, a media library, conference facilities and coworking areas, creating a versatile environment designed for today’s visitors.

With activities ranging from silent study and research to literary events and multimedia presentations, the acoustic conditions inside the building are essential. A balanced sound environment supports concentration, comfort and the overall quality of meetings and cultural gatherings.

To meet these diverse needs, the new wing features advanced Ecophon acoustic solutions. The systems help reduce reverberation, improve speech clarity and ensure a well‑controlled sound environment – supporting both focused individual work and collaborative activities.
