Decathlon University enhances training spaces with acoustics

At Decathlon University in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, two training rooms were renovated to create better conditions for learning, collaboration, and concentration.

To improve speech clarity and reduce listening fatigue, the spaces were equipped with Ecophon Focus™ Ds, a Class A sound-absorbing ceiling system, combined with integrated Ecophon Line™ lighting. The large-format ceiling panels create a seamless appearance, while the Scallop Shells colour adds warmth and strengthens the character of the rooms.

The acoustic upgrade helps participants hear and understand each other more easily, creating a more comfortable environment for training and meetings. At the same time, the redesigned interiors contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that supports employee wellbeing and engagement.

The project demonstrates how acoustic performance and thoughtful design can work together to create functional learning environments adapted to modern workplace needs.
