When acoustics become part of a restaurant's identity
At Otto restaurant in Marseille, acoustic comfort was integrated into the interior design concept from the outset. The restaurant features an Ecophon Saga™ B wood wool ceiling, screw-fixed directly to the structure, combining effective sound absorption with a warm, natural aesthetic.
An acoustic ceiling at the heart of the design
Restaurants are lively environments where conversations, guest movement and day-to-day operations contribute to the overall atmosphere. Managing sound is therefore essential to creating a comfortable setting that supports both dining and social interaction.
At Otto, the installation of Ecophon Saga™ B helps improve acoustic comfort while becoming a defining element of the interior. Installed in a 1200 × 600 mm format and in the Natural colour, the wood wool panels bring warmth and texture to the space, complementing the restaurant's architectural expression.
Combining acoustics and aesthetics
The project shows how acoustic solutions can contribute to both sound comfort and interior design. At Otto restaurant, Ecophon Saga™ demonstrates how acoustic performance and architectural vision can work together to create a welcoming dining environment.
