Precision installation using Ecophon laser projection
Silence has tremendous value – especially in places designed to offer relaxation and regeneration. One such venue is Notera Hotel Spa, a four-star hotel located directly on Lake Charzykowskie, in the heart of the Tuchola Forest in Poland. Close to nature, with a high standard of hospitality and an extensive wellness area, the hotel attracts guests seeking peace and quiet. The challenge: silence in a demanding environment
Following guest feedback pointing to excessive noise in the pool area, the investor initiated measures to improve acoustic comfort. Acoustic simulations were used to plan a targeted solution, resulting in the installation of approximately 50 acoustic rafts and around 70 m² of an Ecophon Clipso™ wall system.
The greatest challenge, however, was time. The entire installation had to be completed during a seven-day technical shutdown that takes place only once a year. Every day mattered. An additional consideration was whether to install the acoustic rafts above the pool with water still in place, avoiding costly and time-consuming drainage.
Laser projection – precision and speed of installation
An innovative Ecophon laser projection tool played a key role in the project. This technology transfers the digital layout directly onto the installation surface, projecting exact fixing points at full scale. This enables:

At Notera Hotel Spa, laser projection enabled efficient positioning of the acoustic rafts, even in hard-to-reach areas and locations with potential clashes. The precise projection of mounting points accelerated the work and allowed the team to complete the installation within the very limited timeframe.

Acoustics that complement aesthetics
The project went beyond acoustic performance alone. A graphic created by a local artist was printed on the Clipso fabric. Previously used as wallpaper, it is now integrated into an acoustic wall solution, combining aesthetics with functionality. This demonstrates how acoustic solutions can enhance both comfort and interior design.

Despite the short execution time, the targeted acoustic parameters were achieved, particularly in terms of reverberation time. In the pool and spa areas, this translates into improved speech intelligibility, reduced noise fatigue, and a more relaxing atmosphere – essential for a venue focused on calm and regeneration.
