Functional workplace design with acoustic and design quality

With its new office in Berlin-Mitte, the German Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies has fundamentally transformed its working culture. The new spatial concept stands for openness, collaboration, and identification, marking a bold step toward a future-oriented work environment. It offers space for spontaneous encounters, interdisciplinary exchange, and new forms of collaboration – making a strong statement for a contemporary, open workplace culture.

As part of the holistic design approach, the ceiling panels Ecophon Solo™ Square and Ecophon Solo™ Rectangle were used as central design elements. Their clean, geometric form not only integrates visually into the overall concept but also delivers outstanding acoustic performance. This is a key factor in ensuring a pleasant sound environment, especially in open and communicative zones.

The ceiling panels were deliberately coordinated with other interior elements. The herringbone-patterned wooden flooring adds warmth to the space and enhances the high-quality atmosphere. Generous glazing allows for ample natural light, showcasing the ceiling panels in their full effect.

The integration of plants and seating areas completes the creative interior design, making the space a successful example of modern interior architecture – both visually and acoustically.
