Think Reuse
first

Besides recycling, we see reuse as a key driver of our circular business model. Everything that is purchased new has an impact on the environment. Generally, acoustic ceilings are not thrown away because they are unusable anymore but because the rooms are redesigned and refurbished to meet new needs. Ecophon acoustic panels are designed to last longer than their typical use, and are easy to demount, store, transport and reinstall in another project.

How it works

The steps of the service allow easy integration of the reuse service in all your projects.

  • Inventory
    • Includes product and quantity identification.
    • Option of saved CO2 estimation
  • Sorting onsite by the customer
    • Ecophon provide boxes and bags, both for reuse and recycling
  • Collection of boxes and bags
  • Quality verification at Ecophon to ensure that the products are accepted
  • Payment and certificate of climate savings

Get paid or pay?

SoundCircularity Reuse includes both a service where we pay for the additional time for a correct demounting in existing buildings – and the possibility to buy reused panels. Choose whatever suits your project best.

When applicable, SoundCircularity Reuse is a win-win: less waste, a lower impact on the environment, a decreased carbon footprint, and reduced resource and energy consumption.

format_quote

We continuously work closely with customers and partners to design workable solutions for the reuse of materials. Large-scale reuse requires early planning and the right materials, as well as a systemic approach that includes the entire value chain. It also involves debunking myths about reused materials being inferior in terms of appearance and performance.

Availability and local adaptations

The initiative is currently at the pilot stage in Sweden, and Ecophon is actively seeking more projects where we can help increase resource efficiency by buying back, checking, and then selling reused absorbers. Thanks to a thorough selection and screening program, the products put to sale again are, despite the natural aging, deemed to be as good as new. Contact us if you would like to know more.
