Sörmland County Council commissioned NCC to build a new healthcare building at Nyköping hospital, including a new entrance. The new entrance fits well into the environment and will be a major boost for the entire hospital and is approximately 10,000 m².

The new healthcare building covers approximately 12,000 m² and is being constructed on eight floors next to the old entrance to Nyköping hospital. The building will house the hospital's new two-level main entrance with a café and pharmacy.

The N55 healthcare building will also house an MRI unit, wards and a test centre. The building will be linked to the existing buildings of the hospital and will be a very important hub for the hospital, both for visitors, staff and operations. The classification of the entrance building is Miljöbyggnad Gold, as it is built with sustainable materials.
