In 2023, the Männiku kindergarten underwent a complete transformation. The outdated building was demolished and replaced with a modern, two-storey, energy-efficient facility designed to support both learning and wellbeing. The new kindergarten now offers 10 group rooms for 224 children, complemented by two spacious halls, classrooms for cooking and robotics, a winter garden, inviting reading nooks and a variety of outdoor play areas.
Carefully chosen materials and smart design solutions were key in creating an environment where children and staff can thrive. Acoustic comfort played a central role, as a calm sound environment is essential for concentration, communication and recovery. In the halls, Ecophon Akusto™ One/Texona panels in the shades Garlic and Ginger add both visual character and excellent sound absorption. In the group rooms and other learning spaces, Ecophon Industry™ Modus TAL and Ecophon Focus™ Ez panels secure a balanced and supportive acoustic atmosphere.
The main entrance corridor was fitted with Ecophon Focus™ E ceiling panels to welcome children and visitors with a bright and comfortable impression, while the reading nooks along the corridor were enhanced with Ecophon Solo™ Circle suspended panels in the refreshing shade Summer Forest – creating calm, inspiring spaces where young learners can explore the joy of reading.
