Goa Institute of Management Studies, Goa
Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has always been on the forefront of Academic Excellence and one of their key initiatives has been on the quality of infrastructure for the students and professors.
Room Acoustics was considered as one of the important elements and GIM along with their architects (Arch. Hadrian Lobo from Somaya and Kalappa Consultants) invited Ecophon to participate for the resolution of their acoustic challenges. 3 test scenarios were considered and the best solution was implemented.
Mercedes-Benz International School, Pune
Mercedes Benz International School has always been a pioneer in bringing creativity and excellence into students’ lives. Their key focus always remains on the overall development of students ensuring critical thinking, collaboration and effective communication being inculcated in them.
The scool along with its Architects (Alexander Architects) envisioned the need for good acoustics in their existing infrastructure. The School Director, Ms. Eileen Neidermann herself was involved keenly with Ecophon in selecting the best possible acoustic solutions for the school.
After the acoustic treatment of the classroom, there was a tangible difference in the acoustic performance. As testified by the teacher herself, who experienced lower stress while speaking and increased speech clarity even to the last bencher.
Fr.Agnel, Navi Mumbai
Fr. Agnel as an institution aims to provide industry oriented quality education and holistic environment for overall personal development.
As the institute realized that good acoustics in classrooms will bring about a positive impact on the learning of students, they partnered with Ecophon to treat their seminar rooms which have a seating capacity of approx. 200 participants. Their major issues were high sound levels, higher reverberation time and low speech clarity. Acoustic Consultant (Mr. Rolins Roy) was taken onboard to further help with the acoustic treatment involving placement of wall panels and choosing the appropriate ceiling treatment.
Mount Abu Public School, Delhi
Mount Abu School Delhi has always considered comfort in classroom teaching, as a top priority.
They were keen to improve student teacher interaction in the classrooms, for which they collaborated with Ecophon to perform sound measurements and acoustically treat their classroom. Acoustic consultant (Deepanshu Gupta) was taken onboard to help with his expertise in taking measurements. Lowering the reverberation time and the sound pressure levels, contributed towards the listening comfort in classrooms.
