We are the experts that want to share articles, research and case studies concerning room acoustic design, communication and health issues in the indoor acoustic environment, that can be valuable for you as an architect, facility manager and others with an interest in room acoustics and how it impacts people using the spaces.

We want to exchange knowledge and be an inspiration to support the creation of an acoustic environment that optimises the outcomes of people’s activities in working, learning and healing environments.

Paige Hodsman

My academic background includes Commercial Interior Design, Environmental Management and Decision Making and I specialise in workplace environments and acoustics. Working in the field of commercial design since 1997, my project experience spans the continental US to the UK and across mainland Europe including collaboration projects globally.

I love buildings, especially historic buildings. I studied civil engineering and architecture at college, and building and property surveying at university. However, it wasn’t until I joined Ecophon that I was educated on the impact that design has on sound and our ability to learn.

Andrea Harman

Working as a concept developer for healthcare in the UK has enabled me to investigate and share information about the importance of the sound environment to our health and wellbeing. An area of particular focus for me has been establishing the links between a good sound environment and enablement for people with dementia, this has led to me studying for a MSc. in dementia studies focusing my learning on the built environment.
